Nathan Littauer Hospital’s New Website

August 26th, 2009 by Shannon-Rose Design

Shannon-Rose Design has been working to build  a new website for Nathan Littauer Hospital and Nursing Home in Gloversville, NY, which has gone live. The new site is a complete upgrade from their old site, including a new homepage with rotating call-outs for high-level messaging, fresh photos, reorganized navigation, and a number of completely new pages. It’s a bigger, better site for a hospital that is constantly growing and expanding itself.

A great new feature is the interactive calendar that houses classes, meetings, and events for a number of different programs and support groups run through their HealthLink operation. By clicking on an event, you can read information on the event, check its hours, and obtain contact information.

The calendar was built using AJAX techniques (jQuery), which allows the user to click on an event within the calendar and view it without having to reload the whole page. [For more information on AJAX used in interactive maps and calendars, read this post.]

NLH has a large network of Primary Care Centers throughout the area. We added individual pages for each center that outline specialties offered, provider names at that center, phone numbers and hours, as well as a helpful embedded Google map for directions.
