2009 SPAC Homepage

Shannon-Rose Design has updated the SPAC Website for the 2009 season. We worked out some of the usability issues from last year. We created a click through promotional banner at the top, that also includes content management tools. We also created a custom music player in the upper left of the home page.

Another big change is the event listings, which is now a pop-up window for each event category. This makes it much faster to find out what performances are playing each day.

Gone is the horizontal calendar on the homepage, and I will miss it. It was a bear to build and we spent many hours constructing it, but sometimes simple is better. The big calendar on the inside page gets some slight icon updates to make the video overlay easier to find – many of the videos have not been loaded up yet so don’t scratch your head on why they aren’t there.

I’m happy with the changes, and I think users will be happy also.
