We recently created a new t-shirt design for Guyson Corporation which included a little something new for us. Most shirts are created using spot color inks, but the needs of the client called for to broad a color spectrum to be limited by Spot Colors. I got on the phone and called Dennis at T-shirt Graphics in Ballston Spa, NY. They are capable of printing four-color process on fabric. This seemed complicated to me since we were printing on a black shirt, and white would have to be turned in to an actual ink color, unlike in offset printing where white is usually the color of the paper.

The color quality is actually quite good, considering how porous the fabric is. These are different than the proof I submitted, but much more vibrant than I expected. It is a process that I’m no longer hesistant to try. SRD t-shirts, anyone!?
