Recently we had a small signage job near the town of Ticonderoga, NY that included two different kinds of usage. Here are some facts: Sales up 140 percent in metropolitan areas. Sales up 80 percent in their traditional regional market.
These are the sales figures months after the rebrand and package design for Bilinski’s Sausage. Their all natural chicken sausage had been on sale for about two years prior to the new design, but sales increased only after the new packaging came to market. The only variable was the rebranding; the only change was a redesign. It was a success story.

Until we created new business cards for Turbine Services Limited, I had never heard of a QR Code. All you have to do is photograph this code with your I-Phone or Blackberry and it will immediately insert their name and contact information into your address book (of course, there’s an app for it). Apparently they are the rage in Europe.
They will hold more information than just an address, you can print them out at any size, place them anywhere. I can imagine they would work great in a storefront window, the side of a car, on restaurant napkins, the back of a T-Shirt, and even casino chips. But once they become commonplace, they will just be another communication form and the marketing value will fade.
