Our client, Nathan Littauer Hospital, was featured this week in the blog, Social Media Explorer. [Click here to read full article.] Nationally recognized as an authority on social media, PR, and communications, author Jason Falls recapped online press release delivery system, readMedia, a service that NLH uses to push out headlines and stories about the hospital. Falls cites NLH as a user (and beneficiary) of the service’s locally oriented method of releasing information, stating
They have more graphically-driven information positioned on their website and use readMedia as a media utility. All readMedia “news rooms” are like this now, but they tell me a more designed, customizable presentation is on the way soon. Littauer’s most recent news, a story of a citation as being a progressive facility for energy conservation from Thursday, came up (as of Friday) as the top Google News result for “hospital energy conservation,” so the news postings are working well.

readMedia is a great tool for businesses like Nathan Littauer: “…for local-based media relations efforts, readMedia is the real deal. Smart, easy to use, reliable database service that can be customized to your liking as well, all with smart Web 2.0 tools.” Local social media guru and organizer of the SMBTV events, Amy Mengel, is readMedia’s new inbound marketing director for the Albany, NY-based company.
NLH has definitely embraced social media to their benefit, with an active blog and Twitter and Facebook pages. It’s great to see them featured for their efforts.

Great to read about this story on your website. I guess blogs do work as Shannon Rose advocates and people are hearing you.
Thanks so much for highlighting readMedia and our mutual client! Nathan Littauer puts out great press releases that really resonate because they have a local focus, and NLH does a great job of using social media to drive interest in their organization’s news. Thanks again for sharing the link to Jason’s post.
