Estragon designs hybrid camera for ALPA

June 22nd, 2010 by Shannon-Rose Design

Swiss product design company, Estragon, developed a sweet camera for Swiss camera manufacturing company Alpa – The Alpa 12 TC. It shoots 6×9 roll film and 60 mega pixel Digital media, depending on your personality. (Since I’m pretty sure digital photography is just a short-term trend and people will realize the superiority of film for everyday photography again…)

Dezeen article about the Alpa 12

This is a serious camera for the serious professional.  I can’t imagine ever needing a 60 mp shot, and since I sold the Drum scanner, transparencies are useless to me. I just like the look of it. I love the modern Scandinavian functionality along with the rosewood finger grip. Nice touch. There are optional attachments for all 4 sides of the camera and it will use all Alpha lenses.

I could not find a price for the camera in working order with film and digital. I say, bargain hard.
