QR Codes: A New Way To Let People Find You

August 16th, 2010 by Shannon-Rose Design

Until we created new business cards for Turbine Services Limited, I had never heard of a QR Code. All you have to do is photograph this code with your I-Phone or Blackberry and it will immediately insert their name and contact information into your address book (of course, there’s an app for it). Apparently they are the rage in Europe.

They will hold more information than just an address, you can print them out at any size, place them anywhere. I can imagine they would work great in a storefront window, the side of a car, on restaurant napkins, the back of a T-Shirt, and even casino chips. But once they become commonplace, they will just be another communication form and the marketing value will fade.
