I Sold the Howtek Drum Scanner That Has been a Part of the Office Since 1993
Only a photographer who still shoots 4×5 in film would want a drum scanner. That means I have a potential audience of over five people in the entire mainland USA. So long high tech scanning reproduction machine. This is fifteen year old technology at its best.
A photographer from New England gave me a call out of the blue and made an offer on my Howtek drum Scanner. I had great reservations about selling it, but I just couldn’t have it taking up so much space in the basement anymore. He is a Howtek collector of sorts, owning two other scanners just like it. Repairs cost so much money that it is cheaper to buy up a bunch of old ones as have spare parts if something goes wrong.
After the whole thing was packed up and gone, I noticed that computer monitor for the old mac was still sitting on the table. Now I have another old monitor to deal with. If you want it, come and get it.
