The Medical Billing and Coding Website has honored Amber Christian Osterhout with an award for her blog, Gaining Insight, a top ten award for information on schizophrenia. Amber, whose brother suffers from the illness, has been promoting understanding through her website and blog.

Amber’s reaction was humble, stating “It is nice to know my little blog makes an impact out there.”

She also has a series of paintings, posters and video that are shown in galleries throughout the region. Amber not only puts on the shows, but speaks at events and organizational meetings. She is also on the board at the Saratoga County Citizens Committee for Mental Health. Here are a couple of her amazing posters that she created
