Logo for the new Clifton Park Restaurant, Pasta Pane

DZ Restaurants, one of the most successful restaurant management companies in the region, has opened their newest location in Clifton Park, NY. Their focus is on very traditional Italian food that is fresh and affordable.

After meeting with DZ owner David Zecchini, Shannon-Rose Design was hired to create the restaurant logo design. The Pasta Pane job wasn’t a full branding job—just a logo design. So it went rather quickly, along with some of the affiliated work, like cards and banners.

Amber Christian Osterhout designed several logo options to choose from based on input from the company owners. The final logo is shown above, but I thought it would be nice to show some work that will never see the light of day:
