Albany Housing Authority Logo System

Albany Housing Authority Logo Design

The Albany Housing Authority has been providing quality rentals, homeownership, employment and small business opportunitues to very low, low, and moderate income households in the Albany area for over 40 years. AHA comprises a range of buildings throughout the area that serve as different housing options: elderly & disabled apartments, single-family homes, townhomes, and more.

Our job was to create a new logo that incorporated the hallmarks of their mission, and still reflected the original look of the old design. Playing off of the idea of the variety of housing options AHA offers, we created a logo that brought together renderings of the properties. The logo is layered, allowing us to use one building for a more specific logo.

To tie it all together, we had to create similar logos for each independent property owned and managed by the Authority.

Each building had to be drawn at a certain size with exact line weights so they could maintain a certain style when lined up next to each other. Maintaining a consistent formula since we didn’t want print materials, such as letterhead, look different from complex to complex.

All AHA logos grouped together

Now the program is ready to be implemented which will include office materials, newsletters, and signage for each complex.
